# About Melanotan Research: An Independent Editorial Zine on Melanotan 2

> About Melanotan Research — an independent editorial project publishing plainly-cited summaries of the Melanotan 2 literature. Not a clinic, not a vendor, no medical advice.

An independent editorial zine on the Melanotan 2 record. We summarize the science. We don't sell it.

## What this is

Melanotan Research is an independent editorial project that publishes plain-English summaries of the peer-reviewed research literature on Melanotan 2. We are not a clinic. We do not employ clinicians and we do not provide medical advice. We do not manufacture, sell, or distribute any product, and you will find no prices, vendors, or order links here. Our work is editorial commentary on publicly available science — a digest, not a dispensary.

The register is deliberately a zine: blunt, opinionated about spin, and allergic to the marketing gloss that surrounds this compound online. But the irreverence stops at the facts. Every claim on this site is leashed to a citation, and the safety and regulatory record is reported straight, never softened to flatter the subject.

## Why the 'research' framing

The word 'research' in our name is editorial framing — the stance this publisher takes toward the literature, not a claim that we run studies, a lab, or a clinic. We read what's published and summarize it. We don't generate new data, we don't test products, and we don't advise anyone on use. When this site reports a dose or an effect, it's recounting what a published study measured, not recommending anything. Melanotan 2 is not approved for human use in any jurisdiction, and we say so on every relevant page.

## How we handle sources and uncertainty

We lead with what the studies actually found and attribute it. Where the evidence is strong — the tanning mechanism, the small controlled human results — we say so plainly. Where it's thin or anecdotal — most of the long-term safety picture, the community reports — we label it as such rather than dressing it up. Case reports are presented as case reports. User reports are presented as anecdote, clearly separated from cited findings. The references page lists every source with a PubMed link so you can check our reading against the originals. If a claim isn't in the literature, it isn't on this site.

---

A loud, plainly-cited zine on the Melanotan 2 paper trail — the not-approved-anywhere fact, the regulator warnings, and the case-report harms reported straight; no clinic behind the masthead and nothing here dosed, sourced, prescribed, or sold.
